Public Utility / Municipality

Public Utility / Municipality

For the planning and implementation of decentralized energy concepts based on renewable energy the utilities have a prominent role. Even today, the utilities in Germany have already installed over 15,000 megawatts (MW) of electric power - a market share of around ten percent of total electricity generation. In the medium term this proportion should be doubled according to the purpose of the association of municipal companies In this context more and more utilities invest in renewable energy.

Many municipalities and utilities also have their own grid structures adn can thus accelerate the integration of renewable energy and deliver self-generated electricity to their end customers directly. Even today, the future-orientied utilities carry on the energy services such as development of efficiency concepts for locally based companies.

Frankfurt Energy Holding appreciates this development explicitly. Most of our solar parks are located in areas where the public utilities hold an important position. With increasing transition from conveying to market mechanism we are interested in developing, implementing and operating common concepts with public and municipal utilities in their respective catchment areas.
